MARDA is a modern men’s swimwear brand obsessed with creating a better world by using the plastic from our oceans to make soft, stylish swim shorts that are made to last.

Sustainability
Sustainability sits at the foundation of everything we create. Our highly green vision means that every single part of our sustainable swimwear, from the fabrics right down to the packaging, is made from 100% recycled materials. The accumulation of plastic in our oceans has surpassed crisis point and by 2050 there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish in the sea. We strive to make a dent in the amount of plastic in our oceans during our production process. We take 11 plastic bottles from our oceans and repurpose them to produce each pair of MARDA swim trunks.
Our Process
For each pair of Marda Men’s swim trunks made, 11 plastic bottles are taken from our oceans. The ethical manufacturing process starts in the ocean. We collect recycled plastic for the foundation for our products. The waste material is chopped, ground, washed, melted and reformulated into a high-quality chip that is used to form the fibre. Through spinning and air-jet texturing the fibre is formed into yarn. The yarn is rigorously checked for its quality, and then custom made into highly technical Japanese fabric. The end result? Fabric that is crisp, light, soft, water-resistant and able to dry in a few minutes.

Not only is our very identity based on environmentally friendly manufacturing, but we also care about the people behind the creative process. That is why we have teamed up with manufacturers who are ethically certified and fulfil extremely strict requirements. We are proud to say that in conjunction with this, they remain at the very forefront of fabric technology. The result? A socially responsible premium quality product.
